Have you recently had a new garage door opener installed or need to reprogram your old garage door remote? This week’s DIY video will help keep you on the right track.
Today, we are going to walk you through, step by step, programming your garage door remote to your garage door opener, if you have a Genie® brand garage door opener.
Now for ease of instruction, what I have done is removed the screws from the light cover. Depress the tabs and lower the light cover.
From here you will find a small cylindrical button known as the learn button or smart button.
Now, pay careful attention! Make sure everything is free and clear from the garage door. We are going to press this one time, then press the button on the remote control three times, in one-second intervals.
We press this once, and the light flashes. We’re going to press it, one…two…and on the third time, it will activate the unite…three.
We’re all programmed up!
